Behavior Support Specialist

Our Services

Behavior Specialists work in Community Based Care Settings to help providers focus on changes that can be made by the caregiver or within the person’s environment to reduce behaviors that may be jeopardizing a client’s placement.

Specialist will utilize observation, interviews, and environmental assessments to complete a Person-Centered Evaluation and a Behavior Support Plan to help caregivers create or maintain a positive relationship with the client(s) they serve. The Behavior Support Specialist will teach providers through coaching and modeling, how to implement and revise the Behavior Support Plan as needed.

The specialist will work in ALFs, RCFs, MCC’s, AFH’s and independent living situations. Experience working in long term care settings REQUIRED. Must have at minimum at BS degree or accepted education/experience balance. PT – FT hours depending on referral numbers and county hired in. If interested, complete and submit application.
